オーストラリアは階級社会ではないけれど、ある程度、所得や教育、趣味や嗜好などで5つのクラスに分けることができるそうです。
試しにどのクラスに入るかやってみたところ、私は「Mobile Middle Class」でした。
このクラスの populationは 25% で、こういう↓人たちだそうです。
Members of the mobile middle class come from similar backgrounds to those of the established middle class, but are distinguished by higher levels of educational attainment and consequently higher rates of household income.
Mobile middle class members come from middle-class families, but have above average educational qualifications. Likely as a consequence, they report higher household income, property assets, and social capital than the two previous classes.
すごい。合ってる。
普通のサラリーマン家庭だったけど、それなりに教育ややりたいことはさせてもらえてたし、すごい贅沢はできないけれど、それほど不自由することなく暮らせていて、ローン返済中だけどユニットもある。
ちなみに、UKでは7つのクラスがあるそうです。
ヨーロッパは歴史がある分、階級意識も強そうですね。
